A fun way of fundraising for your club
This season we are looking to raise money to refurbish our club house and to help achieve this, we have set all Club members the target of selling a minimum of 15 prediction tickets of 1 pound each. Pontardawe RFC is a club with over 130 years of history and enjoys a positive relationship with residents of the village and its neighbours. Therefore it should be fun for you to coax locals to financially support the club through the purchase of these tickets. See if you can get your friends, neighbours, work colleagues and family to predict who will win all of this season’s 6 nations matches. The overall winner will get a cash prize of 500 pounds which, in the event of a tie, gets split between the winners. Don,t despair if your early predictions go wrong for you may finish well, whilst those that start well may finish poorly. The winner/s will be the most accurate overall.
These tickets are likely to be easy to sell, so we hope that you will be able to pick up more from Simon at our club or by contacting Roy James 01792 869780 who will post additional supplies to you. A league table of “tickets sold by” will be posted on Facebook which will be kept and updated regularly, and who ever sells the most will win a 50 pound shopping voucher for Tesco. Each ticket carries an identification number that will enable us to know who has sold the ticket.
Please make a special effort to sell the prediction cards that are enclosed with this letter. For those unable to sell their prediction cards, a donation of 10 pounds or more would be most welcome and their unsold tickets returned. Do not hold onto unsold tickets as they can be passed onto someone else. Also try to sell them sooner rather than later so that we can monitor sales and make appropriate administrative decisions with sufficient time left to have effect.
The bottom copy of each ticket sold is retained by the person buying the ticket and you should keep the top copy. When you have sold all 15 tickets then please return the top copies together with the money collected, in a sealed envelop either by depositing them in the box at the rugby club or by handing them in to Roy James (8 Clos Y Hen Ysgol Pontardawe SA8 4AZ) before the first game kicks off at 14.15hrs on Saturday 3 February 2018. Any returned after this time will not be valid.
Please do send cash through the post. Cheques should be made payable to Pontardawe Rugby Football Club.
Thank you in anticipation of your continued support.
