This Saturday sees both the 1st XV and Youth XV at home against Vardre and Glyncorrwg RFC respectively, with both teams looking for big performances at home.

The first XV will be looking for revenge as they welcome Vardre to the Rec. Ponty will be under no illusion on what this Vardre teamare capable of after the team dished out a 56-0 drubbing to a depleated Ponty team back in November. That fixture was something of a one sided game in which Ponty fielded a far from strong team. Take nothing away from this weekends visitors who capitalised on every Ponty mistake and were very clinical in attack. Hopefully Ponty can maintain the pride that has been instilled in the jersey over the past few weeks and come away with a victory over our Swansea Valley rivals in a bid to climb up the table. 

The Youth XV are at home to Glyncorrwg Youth over in the Leisure Centre in the WRU Ospreys OD League. At present Glyncorrwg find themselves at the bottom of the league but with 5 games in hand over Ponty Youth and only 3 points behind. Ponty look to build on last weeks performance which showed a great deal of optimism towards our youth system as Ponty fielded a very young team at Cwmavon. Cwmavon who are joint top of the league started well but in fairness a very determined Ponty side showed a never say die attitude and were by far the strongest of the two teams. Hopefully all this determintation will see this very young Ponty Youth team pick up their first win in this years league campaign.

Both games Kick off at 2:30pm. Following these games the clubhouse will be showing the Ospreys in action up in Glasgow with coverage starting at 5pm and Kick off at 5:15.
