Pontardawe RFC are planning an away weekend on the 9th 10th and 11th of February for the above six nations game. This trip is open to all members and it maybe possible accommodate small numbers of children. 

The concept is

To travel by car on Friday morning to the Reading area to play Wallingford RFC. 

15 rooms have been reserved in Reading at the Premier Inn Central for the Friday and Saturday nights on a two adults per room bed and breakfast basis, a few of these rooms are family rooms . The Hotel is in heart of Readings night life and shopping.

On Saturday morning we will travel by train from Reading to the Richmond to take on board the ambience of the rugby fraternity enjoying the local pub and restaurants many of which are on the banks of the Thames. 

Those going to the match later can travel for free on the multitude of double decker buses that are laid to ferry supporters the short distance to and from Richmond to Twickenham. Those without match tickets have a lot of choice in Richmond. Including visiting nearby London Welsh who have historically laid on a big screen within a marquee albeit there is a charge to go in. 

Trains are frequent between Richmond Twickenham and Reading so everyone can make their own plans on when they wish to return to Reading for the hotel.   

We return home by car on Sunday morning and for those that wish to, a stop off on route for Sunday lunch is also planned. 

Budget, payment details and profile 

The price per head will be 100 pounds which covers the hotel and travel from Ponty to Wallingford and Reading and the return journey from Reading.  

Payments to be made to Roy James (07764 818430) and the payment profile is as follows,

10 pounds on booking which is non refundable. A booking is deemed made when Roy James receives the money. 

90 pounds by December 15th which is refundable up until January 2nd.

It maybe possible to increase the number of rooms booked at the hotel should there be sufficient demand but its likely that the price for additional rooms will be higher. So places will be reserved on a first come first served basis at the 100 pounds rate. 

Anybody willing to take their cars and carry three other tour members will be receive 70 pounds. Please note car parking opposite the hotel will cost you 8 pound per 24 hrs
